I was using a single GTX 970 in my build. I decided to go SLI not long after building this PC and ordered another card. I installed it and went to enable SLI and the option wasn't there. Well, apparently my mobo isn't SLI ready. Could have sworn I had bought an SLI board but that's neither here nor there. I'm stuck and need to fix it. Below is what I'm using, I need a SLI ready mobo that can work with my other components.
i5-4690k
Kingston HyperX Beast T3 8GB 1866MHz, 2 x 4GB, DDR3
2 GTX 970 4G
Win 8.1
1 TB sata HDD
Corsair HX750I Modular PSU, 750W
SilverStone Argon AR01 CPU Cooler
Cooler Master Case
This not being an extreme build I would like to keep the price point down as low as possible (somewhere around $150) but I don't want a crap mobo either. I have been contemplating MSI Z97-G45 but not totally sure on it. I only need advice on mobo, nothing else will be getting changed at this time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
