Looking to upgrade from a hyper 212 evo i7 4770k. I am getting temps around 33C idle and 65C maxed at 3.5gHz stock. I want a cooler that I can start to get into overclocking with but keep these low temperatures. I have taken a look at water cooling but the price to performance ratio is just not worth it.

This is the water cooler I looked at.

No Noctua (I hate the damn color scheme).

Is water cooling worth it???

Thanks,

Ahh another turtle :D

You can replace the Noctua fans. I was going to do it before I decided to make a custom loop. I am 100% in favour of NH-D14 and 15. They perform very well and just as good if not better than water coolers.

Replacing the fans on the coolers is very easy. It is not too expensive too. I wish Noctua had color options for their fans. It would be a lot better :)

I dislike closed loop coolers like the H series Corsairs. If you want the water option looks good that you picked.

Do you have any idea if the dark rock pro 3 will perform better than my hyper 212 evo, same with the noctua.

It just seemed like you where saying noctua is best but dark rock is better than noctua.

Thanks!!!
