Old PC... can we make is Game?

Hey guys.

So my buddy just inherited an .... HP Pavilion p6110f.

The only game he plays is WoW and he was hoping that this inheritance would give him a decent system to play on (hes been using a laptop). However, he cant run anything.

The WoW minimum requirements say he needs at least a quad core so im thinking thats the problem. But I was hoping you guys could provide some insight into what a good quick fix or cheap upgrade option might be for this PC.

Might need a graphics card if the PC is the default config. The CPU is extremely weak, likely the CPU in his laptop is better if it is anything recent.

Basically this PC is meant for light web browsing and little else.

He wouldn't be able to spare much at all. Maybe $100.00.

I wanted to help him build a PC as I recent built my first and love it. But I don't think It's going to be an option for him. I was hoping there could be an old mobo/CPU combo replacement or something of that nature. But its not sounding like that's the case?
