Hi all I have a Toshiba laptop, all has been fine but yesterday after turning it on the whole boot up process was in slow motion and when it finally got to the login screen I logged in but the desktop only has the background pic no icons etc. I have tried the usual booting safe mode etc nothing works, I even tried the windows repair but it over 3 hrs and then said no errors found. I am at a loss, when I tried the restore to an earlier point it says none exist but I know there are restore points as I always created one each time I loaded a new program or a new peripheral.
