Hello guys, I am going to update my old C2D, and after week or two of researching I have my setup complete, but I maybe made some mistakes and I need some opinion about it, its a bit budget, the main use will be Internet, Multimedia and Gaming, play at max 1080p and I am fine if I have to play on ultra at 30pfs, or even high at 30fps, just a middle system. I also plan to OCing CPU up to 4.4Ghz or 4.5Ghz. Here we go.

Intel i5-4690k
Cooler Hyper 212 Evo
Asus Z97M-Plus
G.Skill RipjawX Blue 2x4GB 2133Mhz CL9
Nvidia GTX960 4GB (Or maybe AMD R9 380)
3x500 HDD 7200rpm, 1xDVD, Case Fans.
PSU SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W 80+Gold
Case Aerocool GT-A Black

What do you think? Is there is something wrong there? For the power supply I pick up a 550W, with the GTX960 and OCing i5 should be more than enought, they are very efficient, also I think if i take AMD R9-380 even if the AMD need more power, 550W are still enough, Also I never plan to make SLI/CF.

What do you think?

The motherboard there is plenty of optiones, I choose Z97M-Plus becaouse I found very cheap, arround 100€ while everywhere I look it have a price about 120-125€, and looking reviews It seems ok for a mid OC up to 4.4Ghz or 4.5Ghz I dont plan to go more.

i would like to see some opinions about it, I want to buy the parts this week. Thank you!!

the ram speed and latency doesnt really matter in gaming, so buy whichever one is cheapest (as long is its from a good brand and better then 1600Mhz CL9, so you could get XMP support)

as for a PSU, this is a solid chioce:

Pretty good. My thoughts are below...

MEM - No need for the faster modules or their higher voltage. They won't benefit you while gaming. DDR3-1600 CL9 or lower, or DDR3-1866 CL10 or lower. ...both at 1.5v. If you want performance memory, lower the respective latency.
SSD - Add one! Look toward the Samsung 850 EVO or Crucial MX100 / BX200 for great budget minded options. 120GB is sufficient, but grab a 250GB model if your budget allows.
PSU - The Golden Green is a good PSU lineup from SuperFlower (others aren't), but at that cost just look toward XFX or Seasonic.

Enjoy that build!

I would get a better PSU, and if the ram costs more than 60 dollars, I would downgrade it, as it's a waste of money. a SSD will make your system feel like its flying, so I recommend getting 50 dollars for somewhere (if its not a big problem) and get a cheap 120 gig samsung 850 evo. its at a really good price right now, and it's a really good SSD. if you cant afford a SSD right nowm I would get a 250 GB SSD up front, so you will have some storage, and then get a 1TB hdd for mass storage, once you have the money. getting an SSD upfront will make your live much easier then adding one later.

Thank you for comments.

Ram I pick up the ram becaouse it was only 2€ more, the G.Skill blue 1600mhz 62.94€ and the 2133Mhz are 64.94€. Other options I have, G.Skill Sniper Black 1866 63.75 or G.Skill Red 1600Mhz 59.96.
Shoud I just Pick the Red G.Skill? I read the good one ares the blue line.

I plan to get SSD, but not now, later, also I need to research more about them, I am not confident with their durability yet, just need learn about them more.

Another PSU beside superflower I could pick its Antec VPF550 or Enermax Naxn 550W.

Thank you.

ok. if the ram is not that more expensive, just get the faster RAM. there are games which benefit from high speed RAM, but they're not many.
both of those PSU also arent that great.

can you give me a budget and an online store that I can look around and find the best buy for the money?

Ram I finnally found the G.Skill Sniper (black) 1866Mhz CL9 for 54.90, way cheaper than the others and more of 1600mhz and still 1.5V, guess this is the better option?

520W would be enough for OCing even if I choose AMD R9-380 (It most probably I dont get it, but I didnt closed the door) ??
Even with this PSU i am bit out of my budget, but about power, how about this PSU: Antec HCG-620W, its only 2€ more than the seasonic and I read the Antec HCG620 its actually a Seasonic S12II 620 inside, with minor differences, if this is it, I could affort and go for 620W and dont close me door for future bigger card?

Thank you!.

the HGC unit doesnt actually have a S12II 620, but its still a solid unit. I went for the seasonic because it is seasonic grade, and they make they best PSU's on the market, period. even corsair's AX1500i is manufacturered by them, so technically, then were the first ones to hit 80+ titanium, not corsair.

I know Seasonic is well know, just worried if 520W would be to minimum (for GTX i guess not), this review http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Antec/HCG-620M/4.html they said its build by seasonic and very similar to S12II but its the modular version, and here http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers they said the HCG line up to 620W is build by seasonic.

Anyway if HCG its still a good unit for 2€ I would pick this one and have power margin for the future if i get a bigger gpu.

Thank you!!

I also think that you should go for that one, just remember that it has "braided" cables, meaning that it has that big sleaves that the musterd colored cabled peep outside, meaning that you could not do a color matched system with this PSU, as the cables will interfier with all of the other colors. that's why I got a modular unit by seasonic (m12ii evo 620w), so I can have those black, flat cables.
