Windows 7 can detect my USB but can't read or write off it?

I've been trying to put files on my USB (as you do...) but whenever I plug it in, Windows detects it's there since it's shown in the Control Panel and the Safety Remove Hardware and Eject Media shows up. It comes up as Removable Disk (E:). I need help!

Solution
Then you must be having troubles with your on board usb's. Un-install them in device manager and re-boot. Let windows re-install and try again. Good luck! Gotta run...

What do you mean by that? Sometimes it will allow me to add and remove files but most of the time it doesn't let me.

And no there's no error messages
