Windows 7 can detect my USB but can't read or write off it?

I've been trying to put files on my USB (as you do...) but whenever I plug it in, Windows detects it's there since it's shown in the Control Panel and the Safety Remove Hardware and Eject Media shows up. It comes up as Removable Disk (E

What do you mean by that? Sometimes it will allow me to add and remove files but most of the time it doesn't let me.

Hello... right click the drive-Properties what size is it and what is the file system?

Does it work in another computer? My guess is that it won't and it is going bad. Have you tried a different usb port?

Hello... Yes USB sticks can become defective and the USB computer ports can become get dirty... try some rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs.

If that is the case now, I doubt it is working in another computer.

One thing to mention is that when i check for errors on it (from the properties menu) it says windows cant access this disk

Then you must be having troubles with your on board usb's. Un-install them in device manager and re-boot. Let windows re-install and try again. Good luck! Gotta run...

Hello... Try re-formating the drive in NTFS and give it a try in a different computers and ports... ii could have gone bad.
google "rufus" there is a small APP that has a USB stick deep fix or re-storer that can save some of them.
