Looking for a good CPU cooler around the ~$60 - ~$70 range.

I'm running a 4670K on an Asrock Z97 Extreme 6. Currently I have a Hyper 212 Evo but I would like to overclock my CPU beyond 4.2 GHz. I would prefer air over a closed liquid loop which is why I'm not considering a Corsair H100i at the moment. My top choices at the moment are the Phanteks TC-14PE and the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3, I would also be open to getting another Noctua, but I would prefer to have a distinct cooler on each of my systems. I am also open to suggestions but would prefer to stay around my price range. I would also like a cooler with a dark color to match my Fractal Design Define R4 Blackout edition.

You do realise that high end air coolers (like the Noctua NH-D15) go toe-to-toe with top end CLCs right? Here's one example, though there are heaps of others all over the place: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/noctua_nh_d15_review,11.html

The biggest advantage (IMHO) CLCs have is they give you a portable system. I would not want to chuck a rig with a massive air cooler on it in the back of my car to take to a LAN party. However if you don't care about weight and you're only metrics are price and cooling performance (noise & temps): air coolers are easily the better way to go.

Yeah I have a D14 on my other rig. I was trying to keep with the black / green theme of this rig so I would want to get a black colored cooler if I could

Yeah I was thinking of getting the Phanteks TC-14 and replacing the stock fans with the other Cougar fans that I have in my rig. That would look pretty sweet.

When you really think about it noctua is making a imo dumb business decision by not allowing customization of colors. I know they are awesome but come on noctua get with the program

hyper 212 evo with a push and pull fan lowered cpu temps for me by 5 degrees or better depending on load and for 5 dollars you can get any color fan you want. its worth the try before you get into higher dollar coolers that will not do any better.
