So I was running a Celeron 900 on my Compaq Presario CQ62-410US Notebook and I decided to upgrade to a Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 which is the same socket as the old processor, I installed the new processor and updated my chipset and bios drivers and now, my PC won't boot. Once I press the power button, the fan kicks on for a few seconds and then turns off, the Caps Lock key starts flashing at a steady rate of 1 flash per few seconds. Now, the catch is, when I plug back in the old processor, the laptop works perfectly fine! If someone would be able to give me some advance and fix this problem for me, It'd really help me out, thanks! (All hardware is factory standard except the new CPU that i'm trying to install).
