Hi,

I was checking the forum for similiar problem to my but was unsuccessful to find solution.

It's my first build ever.

Specs:

Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Hero
Cpu: Intel core i7 4790k
Gpu: Gigabyte Gtx 980 G1
Psu: Corsair RM 750W
Ssd: Samsung 840 evo 120 Gb
Hdd: Seagate 1 Tb
Case: Corsair Obsidian 750 D
Cpu Cooler: Corsair H 105
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8 Gb 1886 Mhz

+ some cheap optical drive.

Now, the problems I had and still having.

I have put all the components together and did first boot. Booted nice!!!
That time q code led was showing 64 for few seconds and different ones and then switched to A2 and stayed on it.

The next thing I wanted to do was get into bios with my usb keyboard. I was pressing the Del and F2 keys over again and it does not take me to the bios. I ordered Ps2 keyboard now to make sure is not the keyboard problem and should get it tomorrow.

I was reading a lot online about a2 and what to do. I have unplugged all the drives (Ssd,Hdd,optical) and graphics card as well. I did not clear cmos cause don't know how manual means nothing to me how to procedure. After unplugging these the code is showing 99. Does it mean that ram can be seated wrong?

The screen which is showing when I boot with everything plugged shows this.

AMIBIOS (C) 2014 American Megatrends. Inc.

Asus Maximus VII Hero Acpi Bios Revision 2201

Cpu: Intel(R) Core(Tm) I7-4790K Cpu @ 4.00 GHz

Speed: 4000 MHz (Target speed 4400 MHz)

Total memory: 16384 MB (DDR3- 1333)

USB devices total: 0 drive, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, 2 hubs.

Detected ATA/ATAPI devices...

Sata port 1: ssd 840 evo 120 gb
Sata port 2: hdd
Sata port 3: optical drive

Please enter setup to recover bios setting.

Press F1 to run setup.

my question is if the screen shows all these details that means mobo is working fine? Does it means that cpu and ram works fine? Would it not show them on this screen if they would be damaged or something? And just need the ps2 keyboard?

I'm not patient person and I like to have things sorted quick. :( so confusing.

Please help
