Hello everyone, I've recently tried to learn more about computer maintenance and repair and am currently finding tools to help me achieve this.

I came across hirens and got all the files necessary to boot it from a usb stick. I can get to the hirens boot menu fine, and all the other main features like the dos and password bypass are accessible to me.

When i try to open the Mini XP option i am getting this error:

Windows could not start due to an error while booting from a RAMDISK. Windows failed to open the RAMDISK image,

File \HBCD\XP\XP.WIM could not be loaded. This error code is 1826

When i look in the hbcd folder i can clearly see the xp.wim file there so what am i doing wrong? please help!

I do have version 15.2, the only thing im doing different than what is exactly in the instructions here http://www.hirensbootcd.org/usb-booting/ is opening the ISO file with daemon tools because i don't have a blank cd to burn. That shouldn't cause any issues though, i mount the iso fine and copy the files to my usb, i pick the usb drive to boot and it loads hirens and the other apps fine, just not the mini xp. Any advice or things to try is muchly appreciated

So i found a tutorial here http://www.broexperts.com/2014/02/how-to-make-hirens-bootable-usb/ that worked for me. Using rufus allowed me to drop the iso files after the drive was formatted and for some reason it works. Not sure why it wasnt finding the xp.wim when i used hirens website tutorial but this one worked for me
