Boot SSD not showing up on BIOS SATA Devices, but pc does boot

Hello, I've a somewhat confusing issue, first of all my build is as follows:
Asus Maximus VII Hero
Intel i7-4790k
Asus GTX970 Strix OC Edition
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2 x 8GB) @ 1866 MHz
WD Black 1TB
Samsung 850 Evo 250Gb

Now for the issue, my boot device is the Samsung SSD, and when I load the UEFI BIOS, it shows it in EZ Mode under boot priorities, and the PC actually boots normally into Windows etc..., the issue is that under Advanced Mode in PCH Storage Configuration, it doesn't show the SSD, only the HDD, in fact it list the SATA port as empty.

This hasn't caused me any problems while running the PC, in fact I only discovered this because Samsung's Magician Software reports that the SSD is not running under AHCI, which as I understand it, should help performance. But the problem is that while in fact I was running in IDE Mode, by virtue of having turned on Intel's RST on the Bios (I think), its no longer the case, I've changed that, and the BIOS under PCH Storage Configuration, reports that in fact I'm running AHCI, but again the Magician Software does not detect that.

Any ideas?

When you say it boots, are you sure it boots on the ssd and not the hdd? Also you should leave your bios on AHCI mode. IDE is old technology your drives are probably all sata.

Your post confuses me a bit but ill try to help. Start by making sure your bios is in ahci mode and that your all your sata ports are enabled.

Yes, I'm sure I'm booting from the SSD, in fact, it is lised by Windows as C:\ , as for the SATA ports, I just checked, they are all listed as enabled.

I've also updated the bios, which prompted me to do the initialization again, and now I never turned on Intel RST.

I've found the issue, apparently my Motherboard has 2 SATA ports provided by an ASMedia controller, not from the chipset, and the SSD was connected to one of those, I've changed it and now it shows with all the regular SATA devices, and Magician reports AHCI as enabled.

Yes, it's fixed, as for RST, it's installed, it's just disabled on the motherboard, I will enable it, thanks for the help
