Scratches on CPU cooler heatsink

Hi,

i have taken off my dark rock pro 3 and have noticed two scratch marks seemingly caused by the corners of my CPU. do you think these scratches will effect performance?

here is a picture of the damage.

Its not close enough to the middle to worry about. The heat generated will be far lower on that potion of the cooler, it wont impact performance.

probably not, there shouldnt be any problems but if its still under warranty and if your a bit paranoid then bring it in

Not a lot .... since you made the scratches, it won't be covered by warranty. Was a day when many enthusiast would try and get a mirror finish on the coolers but most coolers are designed to be slightly curved and the process of 'sanding" down the surface to get this type of finish oft reduces thermal performance and voids warrantees.

It's out by the edge and the heat is in the middle, I'd forget about it.
