HP or Asus laptop £700-800

This laptop is for uni, which laptop would be best suited for running multiple programs (possibly to do with coding).

I might possibly game on it but nothing more than something like league or legends.

The CPU and GPU in the ASUS is much better then the HP.
Q series CPUs are much higher end the the U. The older 4700hq is 4 cores/8threads while the 5500u is only 2 cores/4threads, thus the 4700hq will perform significantly better at gaming or anything demanding.

ASUS has higher build quality over-all and HP has always had this stigma of random defects that will pelage an entire product line.

The HP has more RAM and bigger Hard Drive. What the ASUS has is sufficient for most, and these are the parts that are always upgradeable, while CPU and GPU is really not upgradeable anymore in laptops.

Thus my decision would easily be the ASUS.
