i am relitavly new to the pc world and i will be building my own pc soon and i have made the specs here http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/G8B4Vn all i really want to do on it is game and i would like to play games such as, arma 3, dayz, h1z1, ark survival, gta v, minecraft, skyrim, cs:go and a few other games but they are the main bulk of the games i want to play. the main thing im not sure on is the power supply and how much watts i need so any help with that will be appreciated. i am moving over from console on to pc and i am not massive for graphics and fps but standard or ultra setting will be great. i just want to know if this build will be able to run the game listed above on the settings i said above thanks, anything will be great :)

Solution
Changed the mobo to a cheaper one that offers the exact same features. Changed the PSU to one that will not die or break your build. Sound card is not needed for this build unless you are doing audio editing.

whats the difference between having a soundcard and not having one? and with the other guy with his link to the build slightly changed is that actually worth it or not?

Looks decent to me :) However, can I ask why you need a soundcard? Additionally I would also swap out the PSU (as you are going to OC judging by the parts) for something more like this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9 as it is cheaper, better quality and provides sufficient power for a 970.

Also why go for the strix 970? It is good but you can pick up a perfectly good Zotac for £52 less.

Unless your using a very highend speaker sysyem you don't need a sound card the sound built into the motherboard works just good as a low end sound card. I if you had 500 bucks in speakers then you might buy a sound caed but not a 27 buck one you would be looking in the 100 dollar range.
Your build looks good with quality parts all but the power supply.

Yes the XFX power supply is made by Seasonic and is good quality.
I would pass on the Zotec video card and get the Asus you listed or a EVGA.
Or make sure you register it for the warranty within 28 days of purchase on their website to get the extra 3 years of warranty.

IntelTurtleFan suggested a solid build, though I'd change the motherboard. Sometimes it helps to suggest 'this' and not 'that'. For instance the gigabyte z97 gaming 5 is a better quality motherboard than msi's gaming 5 and it costs less. Especially for overclocking as the gb gaming 5 uses 8 true digital power phases vs the 4 analog/hybrid phases with doublers used by the msi version.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97xgaming5

The specs in pcpartpicker are a bit skewed, they show the gb gaming 5 has 4 sata ports and m.2/sata-e and show the msi gaming 5 has 6 sata ports. In reality, they have the same exact configuration, 6 sata ports and the last 2 sata become occupied/unusable when using sata-e or m.2.
