PSU has 8 pin CPU power but Mobo has 4 pin for CPU

i want to buy this PSU

for use with this Mobo:

However the PSU seems to come with an 8pin CPU power cable and the mobo is 4 pin. can I just buy a 4 pin cable and then use that instead? will that work?

In my experience the 8 pin will actually split off into 2 four pins to accommodate motherboards that are not 8 pin boards. (that is how the cx 500 I had was) If for some reason it doesn't split you should have no problem just buying an adapter.

If the PSU's 8-pin cable doesn't split, then you might have to use a 4-pin adapter, because that board the orientation of the CPU power isn't going to let the other half of the connector hang.
