Need tips for computer repair business on what to do and what software to use and what to charge I'm good at fixing some hardware and a good bit of software

If you don't know how to repair a computer how do you expect to be able to run a business doing computer repair? If you have to ask like this, you're really not ready to charge people money to fix their computers.

Also it costs a lot of money for the computer repair software as well usually, like a couple hundred to a thousand dollars.

I'd agree with Bossyfins, if you're really wanting to do repair look into various certifications and what they require. It doesn't sound like you're ready to be doing repairs for others for a fee but it doesn't mean give up on it if you really want to either. Maybe as a first step try and find someplace that does pc repair, an independent owned shop/business (not bestbuy or someplace). It may be more difficult at your age getting around for transportation but you're still young yet so don't get discouraged. Working at a shop with other more experienced people can be a great way to learn even more about the business.

There are things you have to consider when running a business such as worst case scenario. As an example, insurance or what to do when things go wrong. Say someone brings in their pc with a 980ti graphics card. It's unlikely but things happen. Maybe all you do is some software work for them, cleaning the pc system out and reinstalling drivers. If the gpu dies, the customer will look to you and want to place blame (even if it's not directly your fault). Then who is going to pay for the $650 gpu? Things that would instead be handled by the company or shop you work for if you worked as an employee rather than as your own business.

Best of luck, but seriously it would be good to try to get more experience and/or study for certifications as part of your endeavors.
