How hard is it to build your own PC?

Realistically the only ways you are going to break parts are:

- Static charge/discharge (Use an anti static wristband to avoid this)
- Short circuiting (Ensure everything is screwed/clipped in as intended)
- Excessive force (Just be careful and don't use too much force when putting things in)

You might think overheating is another way but it isn't really. Your PC will just turn itself off if it starts overheating.

Basically building your own PC is easy with a bit of common sense and a good guide.
 
Pretty much I'll reiterate what's said above.
Set yourself up on a decent surface (table/kitchen worktop) ,a decent chair ,organise in advance & take your time.

Its pretty hard to f**k up components in all fairness unless you do something really stupid.

If that's the top end of your budget I would personally consider a cheaper case & a better monitor (to make the most of your spangly new 970)
