I had a power surge due to a lightening strike nearby, which knocked out various things in my house. I found my Dell XPS 8500 "Off", monitor still on. Now there is no response or light when I press the power button. Green light on the power supply is on. Amber light on MOBO is on. Behaves the same with ALL peripherals disconnected. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone.

contact dell, they know specifically what the lights mean, it's also possible a powersurge damaged your hardware, that's why you should have the computer plugged into a surge protector.
