I had Magician 5 installed and decided to uninstall the RAPID Mode. After I did, I started getting the following message “Reboot is pending after last RAPID MODE operation. Reboot the system and try again.” I deleted Magician and went to the registry and deleted everything with Samsung Magician, but I still keep getting the same message. Is there any other place in the registry that I should delete?

Solution
If you have Microsoft Windows 10, then download and install the just released Samsung Magician 4.8 which works with Windows 10. It also works with the new Samsung 950 Pro NVMe ssd.

Additional information: I have Samsung SSD 840 Pro.
The only Magician version that I am able to download is version 4.4 - for 4.5 or 4.6 I get the message mentioned above. When I install version 4.4 and I check the RAPID Mode the status is the following “Requested operation completed. Reboot your computer to disable RAPID Mode. That is why I think that the problem is that a registry was not cleared.

Captain, I an only noticed the problem when I try to download Magician 4.6, about a month ago, so I don't have a restored date to try. I have to make the change in the registry.

I have the same problem with win10.
The work around didn't work for me. Other claim success by installing 4.4, then updating to 4.6.
I'm stuck with this pending reboot nonsense!

Hi guys,

I've experienced the same problem. I found a solution. But it was hard to find, and by searching for a registry key, I googled some and came up with an italian forum. Translated it to english and found the registry key to be removed.

Italian Forumlink

but, long story short:

You should search for: "SATDisableRebootTargetInfo"
delete the (sub)key. And you're good to go and reinstall/do whatever you want with Samsung Magician.

You can find the subkey on these locations
64bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\
32bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\

The guy in the forum also states an easy fix for the Rapid Mode to be enabled in Windows 10. (far easier than any fix found so far). It appears that only the button is disabled, but fully functional. They link to a program called "Windows Enabler". It should make the button usable and let you turn on Rapid Mode in Samsung Magician in Windows 10. Don't know if it fully works. Button seems to work for now (haven't restarted yet as I'm typing this).

Edit: Seems to work perfectly. Make sure you open Windows Enabler as Administrator and click on the icon to turn it on (taskbar). Then click somewhere on Samsung Magician to make the button active. Might take some clicks.

Oh, wonderfull. I can continue to install Samsung Magican.
if you met “Reboot is pending after last RAPID MODE operation. Reboot the system and try again." warning so delete registry key SATDisableRebootTargetInfo and reboot computer.
