Greetings,

So i've tried searching the forum(not extensively) to try and find this answer.

I purchased the subject mentioned cooler because it was the last one left on special, $18 cheaper than original price. This is the only reason I bought it apart from me feeling like i'm in a wind tunnel when cpu load increases. It's loud.

Question is, will I benefit from actually using this cooler with the FX8350 and will it actually fit? or sell it to a friend straight away and sp end that extra money on the 212 evo?

You didn't do too bad if you paid about $20. You should be benefiting from having that cooler over a stock AMD cooler if it is installed correctly. That cooler is compatible with the AM3 socket and it should be fairly straight forward to put on. It isn't going to be as good as a 212 Evo, so it's up to you.

Hey there, thanks for your reply, I know it isn't going to be as good as the hyper 212 Evo, but hey, with what I paid for it I can't really complain.

I think, and I think, I don't have to remove the mobo to install it. Correct me if i'm wrong. I mean I do kinda enjoy taking apart ym pc and putting it back together when upgrading etc.

If I don't need to it just means i'm going to get it done faster

I just had another look at what you said, I Think I may be in store for a few troubles. I'm still somewhat confident it will be fairly simple to install. However I should maybe have checked compatibility before hitting that buy now button.

Mobo: m5a78l-m lx plus
CPU: AMD FX8350 Vishera Black Edition.

I just checked the compatible CPU's on the box of this cooler And nothing about AM3+.. yikes????
