I recently upgraded my entire gaming rig and am happy with the results, except that in some games I get very slight but still noticeable input lag. It's most noticeable in GTA V and WoW, and especially in WoW is it annoying. I also feel like the mouse cursor isn't as responsive while in Windows, compared to my old system.
I've read about the major input lag problems that came with 8.1, but that should be fixed by an official Microsoft patch that should already be in place in my system (tried downloading the fix but it said it wasn't applicable in my system).
Looking through this guide he/she mentions that higher RAM latency could be the cause. My RAM is 2400Mhz at CL11. Can that cause any problems?
Is there any new software settings in Win 8.1 that I should disable? Is there anything in the BIOS/UEFI I should disable/enable?

And, before anyone asks, yes I have disabled V-Sync, I always do because it always gives me severe input lag.
