Since the ram is the same price go ahead and get it. I would run it at a lower speed and voltage setting, though. I would expect it to have XMP profiles for 1866 and 2133, with lower voltage.
Hope that is a 4790k, and not a regular 4790. Otherwise Z97 is pointless. Also, ram over 1866/2133 is a bit of a waste of money. Also 2400 ram runs at voltages higher than what Intel recommends, and could shorten the life of your CPU.
If you do not have the money for a 4790k, then a Z97 board and overly expensive 2400 ram, that runs at too high of voltage, and gives little gains, is not what you should be looking at. Z97 is for overclocking, which the 4790 cannot do. This would be a more sensible use of your money. You get i7 4770 performance for a good deal less.
in my country iran computer is 4 time more expensive than in other countries. but the price difference of h97 and z97 is about 20 dollar that it isnt a big diffrence so i picked up z97 also the rams is same at price. some of the part of compuetr is not available in our cointry such as xeon cpu and so many brand and models so the system i want to buy is THIS
look at the picture this system price is 1000 dollar at last but in our country is about 4000 dollar we are so miserable people and this is because of america banning
