Hi Guys,

I just bought the new DDR3 4GB PC12800U 1600Mhz.
I wanted to mix it with my old 4GB RAM (DDR3 PC10600 1333Mhz).

My PC starts and shows total 8GB on BIOS. But it turns off once I try to start windows. (Or sometimes 10 seconds just after turning on the CPU)
I even tried using the new RAM only. But same issue.

My Specs are:
MSI H55M-ED55 Motherboard
Intel Core i3-540 3.06Ghz processor
1TB WD HDD
4GB DDR3 PC10600 1333Mhz
EVGA Geforce GTX 750TI
450W PSU

Here are the screenshots!

Any expert Captain here Plz help!!!

It wouldnt hurt to export (ie save) your bios and then reset it to factory in case you used something other than AUTO or SPD for the memory settings.

Here is your memory compatibility listing from MSI:
http://www.msi.com/file/test_report/TR10_1975.pdf

Heres what Gskill says is compatible:
http://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=55&chip=62&model=338

Crucial: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/MSI(MicroStar)/h55m-ed55

Kingston and Corsair don't list anything supporting your motherbd.

See why its important to check first ?

Sell what you have and get an 8gb kit that has been tested to work on your motherbd. The motherbd manufacter usually maintains cpu & memory compatibility info on their support site for your model mobo.

Mixing ram is always an 'iffy' proposition, even if you bought the same ram but from different production batches.

Bro, I have tried 2-3 types of RAM. Also tried just using one brand of RAM only which is PC12800. Can't get PC10600 nowdays. Still same. Do I have to modify settings in BIOS?
