Which storage drive is better?

Solution
The first one is 2 hard drives in one. It is a normal SSD drive AND a hard drive. An SSHD is just a hard drive with a few GB of cache to speed up access to the most common files.

The first one will have a significant increase in performance as an OS drive.
Now if this is just for storage and not for OS then it would actually be slower. The 2.5" form factor drive is a 5400 rpm drive so the 1TB portion of the drive will in fact be slower then the other one.
Now if you are storing movies or music then it does not matter as the bitrate of the file is still much less then the drive speed.

I'd say that you are likely to get better performance with the SSHD. So, if capacity isn't an issue, the SSD will not only give you better performance, it will also use less power.

Oh yeah..
Two more questions:

1) Hmm, does that mean that I would have two drives (a C: and a D: ) or just one drive (C: only)?
2) Is the dual drive quicker than a "120 GB SSD and a 7400rpm HDD" and is it better to manage?

Correct, you will have C drive (the 120GB SSD portion), and the D drive (the 1 TB portion).

This drive is really good for laptops with only one hard drive bay and either no optical slot or if the user cant do without a dvd drive.

Frankly though, if you have room for 2 hard drives you will be better off getting 1 Samsung evo 120gb and 1 wd blue drive over that.
The Samsung EVO drive has better performance then the WD SSD, and the 1
tb blue drive will be faster since it will be 7200 rpm instead of 5400 rpm.
