I just bought a power supply and one of the 24 pins on the motherboard connector is missing the metal part inside of it. This might a stupid question but is it usable ? Or should I return it?
I'm pretty sure that that is on all 24-pin connectors, but just try to run it with your mobo and see if it boots up. I am pretty sure that it cannot create a shortage or sparks or anything.

Thanks I didn't know that was typical for the 24 pin. For future reference if it helps anyone else http://
