Hello! So I'm building my first Gaming PC and I put it all together last night with a friend. I finished the wiring today and noticed that the GPU has a 14 total pin connector for the VGA cable from the PSU.
I looked in my PSU cable selection and noticed that it has different VGA cables. It has several typical cables that end in the 6x2 connection for the GPU and has 2 cables that end in a combo of 8 (6x2) and a separate 6 pin split off from the 8, so 14pins in total on one cable.
I tried reading around some but couldn't really find a solution, so my question is:
Do I need to use 2 separate VGA 6x2 cables to fill the 14 pin connection, or am I totally fine with the 8(6x2)x6 single cable?
My psu is an EVGA Supernova g2 850.

You can kind of see the wire in this picture. Pretty proud of my first ever wiring, considering i have one working arm at the moment! Sorry for the vertical view. It's literally the only way i can take a pic with my cell phone without it bring a blurred mess.
Here she is
Also, my cpu made a small grinding noise when installed. Is that normal? The pc booted right up, though.
Thanks for any help!
