Hey everyone, Not sure whats going on. Built my first computer and its been running great for the past month, except that it occasionally freezes when trying to shut it down.

Went to shut it down today and it froze, so I manually shut it down by holding the power button. A little while later I went to boot it up, BIOS screen was fine, then suddenly it goes to
"reboot and select proper boot device........" screen

Any idea what is going on?
Ive tried restarting and manually selecting the C drive that windows 8.1 is installed on, but still no help.

I have windows 8.1 on a USB and put it in, it allowed me to explore the files and I could see all my photos/videos/files etc on there, so im just really not sure what the heck is going on?

Thanks.

*****UPDATE**** Windows was installed on my C: drive which was a SSD, it no longer shows when going through the bios to select a drive to boot from. Is it fried??
