How do i install windows 8.1 64 bit version from a usb drive onto a newly built pc? Is it hard? Is it the kind of thing where i can just watch a tutorial on how to do so?

Solution

No, you mentioned autorun, and "copy the files...."
It doesn't work like that.

you need to have a file named autorun (which is the .exe) and it cannot be in another file unless it came like that on the cd (aka just copy all from cd to usb without changing anything) then when bios appears, do the function for booting from a certain device, then boot from the usb. it will most likely then start the install, then a little while after, you need to put the code in so it is authentic.

If you have a properly constructed USB install stick, you just need to boot from it.
After that, it is exactly like installing from a DVD.

To create the USB properly, either this:
Rufus
or this:
Windows USB/DVD Download Tool
