I am a first time builder currently in the process of hooking up my build. I am doing it directly in the case. I am at the stage where I connect my Motherboard's system Panel header. I have an H97 Pro4 Motherboard, and I am using a Corsair Spec-02 carbide case, if that's important.

The problem may seem stupid to you veteran builders, but I am wondering why there are 9 pins available and why I have only 8 connectors.

http://i.imgur.com/VL4X1OP.png Pic related. I connected the POWER SW like the blue outline (on the picture from the motherboard's installation guide) and the RESET SW like the red outline, leaving the green solo pin naked. The image to the right is how I've done it.
I'm not sure if this is right, can anyone confirm before I proceed?

Thank you for the help!

It is for a three pin power LED cable. Some case' varies either 2 or 3 pins. Just make sure you get the "positive" pin correctly plugged in with your front panel cables. They should be marked on the pins to be plugged in as well as on the MB too.
