I have just rebuilt my computer, and everything starts up and runs, the hard drive runs(I can hear the whirring and the LED does flash) The computer doesn't POST and I cannot update the BIOS to accommodate my new hardware, which also includes a hand-me-down PSU and GPU. My specs are below

CPU I5-4690K
PSU Corsair TX750
GPU Nvidia EVGA 440(or 460, the one that uses absurd wattage amounts)
Mobo MSI H81M-P33

I have not tried booting with one stick of ram, nor have I tried booting without video card. Can someone send me some assistance?

I did get a new cpu yes, I took out one stick of ram and gpu, and got to the bios screen, I need to update my bios now, but after I flash my bios, I am not sure what to do, as I have oem Windows, and a hard drive that I do not want to wipe, I was told by Microsoft that my product key on my pc case ,should be fine but will reactivating cause my HDD to be wiped? I also do not ha e a Windows disc. Any advice? Greatly appreciated

update- I heard no beeps due to not having mobo speaker, all is good in that arena.

No, reactivating does not wipe the HDD. Depending on how many compenents were switched you might not even need to reactivate. Just boot from the drive like normal and if it prompts to reactivate just follow the instructions on screen for how to proceed.

So after I flash the bios should I set to boot from USB since I lack a disk, or do you think it will ask me to reactivate(if it does) after I set up the bios and boot? And I mean I swapped out my mobo my cpu my psu and gpu so I think I will be forced to reactivate

Yes you will need to reactivate (you will propably need to make a call to microsoft to activate, it's toll free and you get instructions from the activation program on what to do), but you should be able to boot. Depending on if your old setup had IDE or AHCI mode enabled on the bios you might need to set it to the same value as it was on the bios of the old motherboard (if Windows fails to load change the setting).
