Problems overclocking fx6350

I recently upgraded to a R9 r80x vapor-x and it seems it has bottlenecked my 6350 but i can't get it past 3.9GHz 1.25 volt without hanging, can anyone help!?

The max voltage for that processor is 1.4725 v

If you have limited it to a maximum of 1.25 so try and stop the motherboard melting then that will be your issue .

Well I've considered it may be a faulty cpu cause my friend i got it from had it water cooled on a ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
and he only got it up to 3.7ghz at 1.2 volt but he had the problem the entire time he owned it i just somehow managed to get it a little higher than him

More voltage = higher clock speed

Reset the BIOS to optimized defaults

Use AMD Feature Manager to OC
Or Overdrive
