=) Hi I am building my first gaming pc. I have done a lot of research and this is what I came up with. I just wanted some good advice from the experts on here about my build, I already bought the RAM, the Power supply, the video card, the fans, the hard drive, and the case. I am also concerned about whether the RAM is compatible with the motherboard I am looking to get, it doesn't have it on the Asrock site specifically. Thank you for any advice and answers you can give me =). I was also curious if theres a better motherboard than the one I have here for overclocking (if I ever want to in the future) problem is my budget for a mobo probably couldnt go higher than $120. Thanks.

My first question will be this: is an i7 necessary? If you plan on just gaming, you could go with an i5. If you do a bunch of rendering or CPU-heavy tasks that will make use of hyperthreading, the go with the i7.

For $120, you can get a better mobo. I recommend getting an Asus or Gigabyte. For your price range, I recommend this.

The 212 EVO is a great cooler and you'll be happy with it.

It's funny you say that lol, as I had just decided on getting an i5 4690k and a gtx 980 instead. However, with that combo my budget for a motherboard has dropped I could only get one from 80-100 dollars, what would be the best I could get in your opinion and thanks so much for the advice =)

Dude, you may wanna seriously consider adding a shiny little SSD to this admittedly beautiful system.

I mean, like this, it would be like buying a Ferrari and not go over 80 mph with it.
For the love of hardware gods consider at least a 240GB SSD.
