Hi. I need sata drivers for my Dell Precision 380 desktop pc to make a custom boot CD. My pc has Windows XP installed and was working fine. I made no changes to it when one day it went to a black screen that said "NTLDR is missing. Press CRL+ALT+DEL to restart. That didn't work of course, so I got a Windows Recovery CD, only to get the message, "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.

Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program.

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3"

Changing SATA to IDE doesn't work because Windows says IDE is not present. So I have to correct two problems here and need SATA drivers for my particular pc, which to this point, have been difficult to find.
Please does anyone know where exactly I can find the SATA driver for my particular pc? Thanks.

Paul NZ, please explain in detail about how to slipstream, also Dell.com has many drivers for my particular pc. Any clue how to tell which one is the SATA driver? Again my make and model is a Dell Precision 380 desktop pc with Windows XP installed. Thanks

You need something like Nlite. To slipstream sata drivers

I think the drivers are here

This will be the SATA drivers which have to be extracted first

With Nlite you have to copy the cd to a folder on the hdd first then install Nlite.

Net framework 2 I think has to be installed first

Its too hard to explain how to slipstream, it's a long process

Better if you search online on how to do it

You can also add this to Nlite which will add the updates. If you dont add something like this, you'll have to update after you install XP
