Can't Copy Data OFF my External HDD

I have a Seagate Expansion 2TB External HDD... I checked it with HD Tune Pro about a week ago and it was totally healthy... Checked again 2 days ago... 75 Reallocated Sector Count and 1 Curent Pending Sector... So now my best bet would be to atleast save my data from that... recover whatever I can... So I try recovering, and it just cannot copy... It goes real slow while copying (300kbps) and stops ultimately giving me the error "Cannot Read from Source".
Infact, I cannot even open most of the things... like videos, etc I can't seem to open them... while opening some folders it gives a "Cyclic Redundancy Check" thing. It just hangs up my whole PC and it becomes non responding and ultimately says Windows Explorer/ Microsoft Windows has stopped responding and the whole Explorer restarts...
My Question - How to Recover/Copy Data off this External HDD now?
Thanks!

Hey there, RonaldoCR75

Im sure you know that all hard drives do this around the time they will completely fail. I highly doubt that service may be stopping the drive from copying files over from it. What you can try before the drive is dead is to boot into safe mode and try copying files from there

If you bought the drive within a couple years, give Seagate a call and send a RMA request. They may replace it for free (recover your data first before requesting a new one of course :) )

Hi there RonaldoCR75,

First of all, I guess it will not hurt to try using a different cable.
In case the issue persists, you can try to boot up Ubuntu from a CD or external drive and see whether you will be able to get faster transfer speed and back up your data. Check this out: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/267999-32-recover-data-mode
In case the drive is under warranty, you can RMA it after that as Reyaz already suggested.

Hope this will help,
