My cable broke,help me to fix it..(With pictures!)

This cable broke,i wanna fix it now.
Do i need a ethernet cabble/connector?I have some cables that i dont use,can i just cut them and take the connector?

With just two wires and only 4 pins on the jack, this looks like a phone modem connection rather than an ethernet connection. If you don't need dial up or fax then I would tape each wire end to insulate it and forget about it.
