How to reinstall windows8.1

Hello guys!
My laptop came with windows 8.1 at the time of purchase? Recently it was changed to windows 7 ultimate by a guy in service center.
I want to reinstall windows 8.1 to my laptop.I have the product key of windows 8.1(thanks to Belrac advisor)
Can you guys please guide me to install windows 8.1 to my laptop.

I have tried that too. It says that the product key is not valid for retail version.
What should i do now?

Your best bet is to call Microsoft about this. If you can prove your PC came with windows 8.1, they should be more than happy to provide you with a setup disc/recovery

Your best bet is to contact your Laptop Manufacturer for replacement recovery disks or contact your service person and have them re-install Windows 8.1
