i have 16 gb of corsair vengeance pro 1866 mhz ram and i7-4790k as a processor and maximus vii hero mobo..whenever i try to copy large amount of data blue screen appears especially when i run multiple windows(means different files going to different locations).my os is windows 7.my question is why this problem appears and how to solve it??

p.s-my ram is not a set of 4 sticks it's a set of two sticks...so i bought 2 of them and have 4 sticks now.is this creating a problem??

Solution
It sounds like a memory problem, you should run memtest86 (http://www.memtest.org/). Create a bootable usb or cd and boot it from that. Leave it running overnight for example. Memory problems only come obvious when the system actually use the part of memory that is causing the problem.

You could always test by removing two of the sticks to see if the problem still occurs (and then test the other 2 the same way). It's always best if all the memory in the system is the same make and model (less chance for problems).
