I have an ASUS STRIX GTX 970. I am getting frustrated with GPU Tweak (can someone tell me the most stable version that works with the 970?)

If I do not install GPU Tweak, will the GPU fan speeds still control themselves automatically? Can any of this be controlled from the NVIDIA control panel or do I need GPU Tweak?

Thank you.

Solution
GPU's will automatically handle fan speeds on their own according to the temperature profile in their BIOS. overriding their defaults is normally unnecessary.

the nvidia control panel has no controls for fans.

sadly i can not help with the GPU Tweak part of your question.

Will it matter if I use an EVGA software (Precision X) with an ASUS branded GPU (STRIX 970)? I thought since I had the STRIX I had to use GPUTweak.
