Hello,
Long story short my brothers old HDD needed to be replaced, we have a new HDD, and I was wondering if it was possible to install windows using his old HDD. He has windows 7.

I've gotten to the point in the installation that it says "insert installation media for device and click ok to select the driver" I have no clue what driver to select. I would prefer to use the old HDD if possible to get through the setup for the new HDD.. IF POSSIBLE, rather than using an ISO image.

Even if it is not possible please let me know.

Probably a weird situation, but thanks for your time in advance.

Solution
No, that wont work.
You either do a clean install, or use the drive mirroring software that will be available for download from the web site of the new drive you bought, that will mirror the old drive to the new one. Its quick and easy.
