Hey guys. I'm new to the forums so forgive me if I do something wrong here. I'm getting a Samsung 840 Evo 500GB SSD tommorow and before I get it, I'd like to know how I'm going to install windows before it's here. The problem is that I don't want to clone (unless somebody can change my mind...) because supposedly it can cause problems with the SSD.(true/false?) I'd like to reinstall fresh windows 8.1 to my new SSD if possilbe. I don't have a CD though... I could create an installation USB drive off the microsoft website (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media) but then I'll have to download drivers and I'm worried about the whole activation process. Could someone maybe point me in the correct direction please. I want to do this the right way but I don't want it to take a year to get everything back to normal (at this point, cloning is sounding pretty good...)

Thanks-

Yes I think that's what I'm going to try. Thanks. I think I've decided ill spend the time to reinstall rather than clone. Thanks!
