Comparing two possible builds

Greetings.

I'm considering building my first PC, and have rounded off two part-lists. I was hoping some of the more experienced builders could advise me regarding which one is better, along with other possible tips, parts and builds.

(2) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wmMgjX

The first features the Intel Pentium G3258, that I intend to overclock heavily with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler and the Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 motherboard. It also incorporates an R9 270x.

The second, however, features an Intel Core i3, and since it can't be overclocked, I decided to forgo aftermarket cooling and a fancy motherboard. It's paired with a GTX 750ti (EVGA 2GB OC) for lower power consumption, less noise, and better temperatures.

I'd appreciate any help.

Regards,
Aereldor.

Solution
if you're buying from microcenter (which is for in-store pickups), try the core i3 +asrock mobo bundle. get a seasonic s12g 450/550 (whichever is cheaper) psu from newegg, a compatible 2x 4GB ddr3 1600 kit from your motherboard's QVL (mem. support list), the r9 270x and the rest of the parts.
