First Time Gaming PC Build Question

I have put together a build on PCPartPicker (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Tbp4Vn) for a build I am planning on making. This is my first time building and I would like to achieve something that can perform well on games running at medium - high settings at 1080p; yet be cost efficient (Around or lower than $1300 if possible) & upgradeable in the future if needed.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Alright so first throw away the AMD CPU, you can get an i5 4690K. You can then bump the GPU to a 390 and can CrossFire in the future if needed. I will put together a build shortly and post back. BTW do you want the peripherals and monitor to be part of the PC budget or separate?

How's 390 is better then GTX 970 when all it is is just a rebranded 290 ? Maxwell architecture is way more efficient. Also that MSI board has only 4 power phases as compared to 12 on Asrock, so overclock would be problematic and not very hgh. Imo get the best mobo and don't sweat over unlocked cpus if all you gonna do is play games at 1080p
