Hello,I have bought a new pc and for some reason I can only run watch dogs and gta v on the minimum settings, according to can you run it website, which seems like total bullshit to me, because I am using an AMD Radeon R9 300 Series with 8gbs and the store said its the best gpu, is the website true? is my gpu not good enough?

Solution

No problem, in ideal situation, yeah the 390 most likely will run everything high or ultra at 1080P with a strong processor. Download the latest drivers from AMD and then use DDU uninstaller to delete all your driver files and then install new drivers if you haven't already done so. You said you just used the disc but they released new drivers a few days ago.

I'm asking you for your cpu because it does in fact matter if you didn't have an i5 and you didn't put any other info except your card. And watchdogs and GTA V are both pretty cpu intensive games. What's your GPU usage while you are playing?

You should be able to run at least high settings. Try using DDU and download the latest graphics driver from AMDs site.

I didnt install them yet, I will install tomorrow and get back to you. But generally, are they supposed to run on max settings in my PC? I can of course tell you my full specs if required.

I will try it tomorrow and get back to you.

The GPU is AMD Radeon R9 390 GAMING 8GB-5 MSI

Sorry for that.
EDIT#1:
GTA V is not installed in my computer yet but I did install watch dogs, CPU usage while playing it on Ultra settings is 50 percents.

Thank you for your help.
Now, Can You Run It website also claims that I only have 3 gbs of dedicated video ram while I should have 8, why is that? How do I claim that I have 8gbs and not 3.

You're welcome, sometimes things will read your memory wrong for some reason but i wouldn't worry too much, some didn't show my full memory either. Install this sensor and it shows my correct memory so it should for yours too.
