New SSD, How to Clone Windows 8?

I just got a new SSD. However, its only 128 GB so I just want to clone windows 8 and nothing else. How can I do that with Acronis True Image?

1. You can't clone 'just' the OS. There is no application on the market that does that.
2. How much total used space is on your current C drive?

Well, you don't have a lot of options. As said, you can't clone 'only the OS'.

Get the total used space to 100GB or below and clone it, or a clean OS install on the SSD.

If I perform a clean install of Windows 8 on my SSD, then I can assign that as my boot drive, correct? Afterward, can I remove windows 8 from my C: drive?

Yes. With a clean install, it will be the boot drive.

Install with ONLY the SSD connected.
All your applications will need to be reinstalled as well. Steam and Origin games can mostly be moved around and won't need a full reinstall.
