Hi everyone, today I got a new geforce gt 630 and installed it onto my pc. I used to have a 610 but it died and so did my motherboard so I had to start from scratch. After using my integrated intel graphics for about almost 2 weeks I finally was able to afford the 630 and went ahead and plucked it in. However, whenever I try to install the drivers, nothing works. GEFORCE Experience reads it, but the control panel doesn't even start up. The device manager reads it under display however it gives me a code 43 and decides to not run it. I've tried reinstalling with and without safe mode (through various methods such as control panel uninstaller and DDU). I've looked at various tutorials on youtube and followed them step by step, and I still get the same result...

Specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHZ
8 Gb Ram
Windows 7 64 Bit
500 GB HDD

Code in Device Manager: http://gyazo.com/85cd20e278b5b2e234eedfee6dd28ea5

Any help asap would be greatly appreciated, I really want to be able to use my pc normally again.

I already tried that :/

Did it come with the drivers in the original packaging with the gpu? I also assume you've updated the drivers through device manager

I would try it out in another pc. If it doesn't work still, RMA it (return it and exchange for a newer one for free since you've recently bought it)

Yes I tried updating the drivers through device manager, I still managed to get the same results. I don't have another pc to try it in.. Could it be the motherboard? Although I do have a PCI-Express 2.0 16x slot, It is a dh61ww and should be able to support a gt 630.... Also, it didn't come with drivers in the original packaging, but I assume it's not a clone and an actual model..

Could be the motherboard, psu or the gpu. Which is why I think you should call the gpu company and request a replacement one for free.

If the replacement one doesn't work, I suspect the motherboard being the issue, it is proven to be compatible with that gpu.

Which psu do you have?

Well I will call them and request a replacement one... However I doubt it's the motherboard. Recently my motherboard died and I just got this one, which by the way, is actually proven to be compatible with the geforce gt 630. I have a 300w psu (don't know its name :p) but it apparently should do the job.

''Try uninstalling the new video card drivers from the device manager .''

Reyaz123, you do understand that device manager is not supported or recommended to use by NVidia , right ?? plainly states that in the drivers release notes in bold lettering - you may suggest something that may cause more issues then he needs

also where did you get these drivers ?? from here ??

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

best to follow the NVidia install uninstall steps they list in the release notes and that should do you issue free [at least it does for me in the last 14 years ] no need for all that 3ed party crapware

what he needs to do is test his cards in another computer that's known to work with them cards to insure its not the cards -- if the cards work out fine then he can look at something else on the board /build

I will assume this is not a prebuilt computer like a hp or something ??

then I guess I need to add did you need to switch back from using the onboard graphics back to pci-e graphics for card use in your bios ???

The thing is, I've tried both. I've tried the 3rd party crapware and the NVidia install uninstall steps they list. Also yes, I got the drivers from there..

I should test them in another computer that's known to work with them.. Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow? Also yes it is not a prebuilt computer (which is hard to believe due to its hard bottleneck).

Nope, although I still don't get how that would help since the pc already recognizes the graphics card and is scraping the onboard one.. However I did try screwing around in the bios (well I didn't really touch anything). Maybe I should flash it even though it's the latest version?

It's a ninja geforce gt 630, 2gb ddr2 (wtf?). I checked my psu because I also suspected it and turns it that it wasn't from the psu. the motherboard was in the process of dying and the card just died (it's a 3 year old pc). I bought it from a nearby store that sells electronics, I built my pc there and I know its owner, I trust him. He asked me if he wanted to install the card for me but I was too impatient and told him nah it's ok I'll deal with it myself. I guess I'll just talk to him tomorrow and ask him, besides when I got the card he was about to close :).
