I am building my own desktop and I need some help finetuning it.

The parts I picked are the following:

HDD: WD 500GB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5´ 7200rpm WD5000AVDS

PSU: Corsair CX-500W - CP-9020047-WW 80 Plus Bronze

RAM: 2x Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CMV4GX3M1A1600C11

VGA: PowerColor Radeon R9 270

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440

MB: Gigabyte GA-H81M-H

Questions:

1) I didn't pick a 1TB HDD because I simply don't use a lot of space. I have one now and I never had less than 750GB free. I wanted to pick a 256GB SSD but it is soooo expensive (at least here in Brazil). Is SSD worth the price?

2) I wanted to swap the CPU for a FX8350 but I often hear that AMD CPU's have heat issues. Can someone confirm? I don't plan on OC'ing it though. (I am aware that if I do swap it for a FX8350 I will need a new MB too)

3) Also I feel afraid that this setup is going to be obsolete in less than a year now that DDR4 has launched and stuff like that. Is it so much of an improvement?

4) Should I wait before I buy my desktop?

5) Is there any recommendation? Any part I could swap for a better one? I would like to stay in the same price range but if a part is much better for a price a little higher I can consider.

Thanks!

Build is solid just get a H97 so it can support broadwell and get a EVGA, Seasonic or XFX powersupply since the Corsair CX isn't a good power supply. Also try getting the R9 370.

1. How much is the SSD and If the 1tb is under $20 more than the 500 gb then get the 1tb.

2. FX 8350 is very very old and the I5 4460 beats it and so does the I3 in gaming.

3. I have a second pc thats the I7 960 and SLI 480's and they still today are great! Future proofing is a crazy topic because today's $2 000 graphics cards is tomorrow's $200. Your computer will great for the next few years. I normally upgrade my parts after 5-6 years but my I7 960 is special.

4. Try waiting a week to see if the prices goes down.

H81 also supports broadwell, that's why I picked it. This computer is being built on a budget and I picked Corsair as a PSU because of that. R9 370 goes well beyond my budget.

The cheapest 240GB SSD I could find was the Kingston SSDNow 2.5´ 240GB V300 SATA III - SV300S37A/240G and the price is $183 (estimated), while the 500GB HDD I was going for is $84 (estimated).
