So im building my first pc, I was wondering if these parts are good and would be suited for gaming.

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

MSI GeForce GTX 980 4GB Twin Frozr Video Card

EVGA 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Asus Xonar DX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card

Cooler Master Storm Stryker (White) ATX Full Tower Case

Overkill PSU a EVGA G2 750w would be plenty . Also you do not need a sound card unless you have a 500 dollar speaker setup or are doing hardcore sound editing. The mobo has great sound. Also change the mobo to a Gigabyte Gaming 5 or 7 if you can afford it. Lastly you might be able to get a 980ti with the changes. :)

E: The reason why I say go with the Gigabyte is they have higher quality mobos. Less PWM issues.

Get an i5 with an Asus Z97-A. 16 gb of ram is not needed as in games only 5-6 gb is used. Everything else is good but PSU is a little overkill. And you dont need the sound card.
