APU: A10-7850K with stock amd cooler!
3 days ago i change the thermal paste(silverstone one), pretty confident i did a good job!
but whenever i open Firefox or chrome, my temps goes to 47deg. Is it normal?
and while playing grid autosport, its never get above 60deg.
on idle, i usually get between 34-40deg.. but once i firefox is opened, it get high to 47-48deg!
at this stage CPU usage is around 40%.
any background apps problem? could be virus? i cleared the cache and the history as well!

Solution
With a stock cooler under prime that's an excellent temp mate.
That 16.5c is the safety net you have until you hit the thermal limits of the chips.

You have nothing to worry about at all.

utorrent doesn't use that much CPU power unless you're downloading at over 5 megabytes per second.

I recommend running Prime95 on your PC and monitoring your temperatures with CoreTemp. Prime95 stress tests your CPU by running it at 100% speed. If it hits 80 degrees Celsius, you have a problem. Anything below is (generally) considered safe.

AMD tends not to show this info anymore. But if we use past history on acceptable temps on AMD CPU's, they recommend not going over 61c to 70c with their CPU's.

I grabbed these numbers from somewhere awhile back..

FX8120/FX8150 (BULLDOZERS) -> 61'C
FX6100/FX4100 -> 70'C

the motherboard should have a TJ Max temperature, which is the maximum temp you should be at, stated by the manufacturer of the motherboard. Even so, most solid boards will say 90 degrees is safe even though 80/90 degrees isnt really all the safe to be running for extended periods of time

I could care less what the motherboard temp is. The motherboard is not made of silicon.

The CPU is made of silicon, and it can melt. Different processes at the fab determine the safe temperatures that a CPU can function at. I am fairly sure that AMD is being conservative with their numbers. But at the same time, they would never be so conservative to say 61c when it would be fine at 90c.
