What PSU brand to get?

I'm building a "semi-budget" gaming PC. I'm stuck right now cuz I don't know what PSU to get. Are Cougar Hec SL PSUs any good? I was thinking the Corsair CX series but if I could shave some money off, then why not get the cheaper cougar hec SL. I'm eyeing the Cougar hec SL 600 watt psu over the cx600 from corsair.

The specs of the build are:
i5 4460
Asus b85M
8GB of corsair vengeance RAM 1600 CL9
WD Blue 1TB
GTX 960 (2GB)

Cougar PSU is crap. Corsair CX are not so good either. A cheap PSU will be disaster for your PC.

This will help you a lot to choise the right PSU. And for that system, 550W will be enought.

It seems like the cougar SL 600 is made by Guangzhou Sanyang Electron and its not even certified.
I wouldn't buy such a low quality PSU. The Corsair CX is a much better choice for a budget gaming pc.

No, this particular Cougar SL600 very bad and Corsair CX is just mediocre.

Look for XFX, Seasonc, EVGA GS, G2, B2, Antec HCG, Neo Eco.
