Seasonic vs. be quiet!

Hello!

I want to muy a new PSU and i'm not sure which i should get. The battle is between those 2:

Seasonic X-850 and be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 850W

Which one is better, or are they almost the same? I want a future-proof PSU which is good and quiet.

What can you recommend? Or both very good so i can just choose between one? My system settings are:

i7 4790k @ 4,4 GHz w/ Corsair H80i | ASUS Sabertooth Mark 2 | 2x MSI GTX 980 4G Gaming SLI @ 1300 /1800 | 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600Mhz | 500GB Samsung SSD Evo 850 | ASUS RoG Swift | Thermaltake 730Watt PSU

Both PSUs are really high quality units, you can't go wrong with any of them.
I personally prefer seasonic but the be quiet! is platinum certified so it might be a better choice.

be-quiet is trying to make a name for itself so if there offering there unit a bit cheaper then i would go for it as its comparable quality.
if the seasonic is a little cheaper then theres no reason not to buy that unit
either way your gonna get a well built psu that will last the lifetime of your build and then some.

I'd go for the be quiet!, because of the platinum certification, which means that it's capable of delivering more watt.
But i wouldnt expect a big difference, since both are pretty good.

Or get the evga supernova g2 850 gold - usually a better price.

I think i will go with the Seasonic. Would both be enough if i would get GTX 980 Ti SLI with my system too? I know i already got 980 SLI but a friend might give me his 980 Ti for a very low price so

would both PSU be enough for SLI those Beasts?

Yes both would be enough for 980ti SLI. Your system would use about 650-700watts at most with 980ti sli.

GeForce GTX 980 Ti SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 900 Watts power supply unit as minimum.
I'd go for 1000w PSU.

Way too much. A single one uses 250w so around 500w for both. A bit more than 600w at full stress. Around 800w is totally fine.
I'm running sli 780ti's (which consume more watt) both oc'd with a 860w PSU without any issues.

No. It would draw in less power to deliver the 850W is all.

ok since i dont want to go 3-Way SLI ever i just need 850-1000W. You think 850W will be enough now or i need 1000W for 2-way SLI GTX 980 Ti? The only thing that i have in mind is Pascal. When i want to go SLI in the future (like next 2 Years) with pascal too maybe 850W won't be enough?

A PC with 2 x 980Tis only needs 850W from a good quality PSU.

Ok but I want a future proof PSU and if in the next 3 years the GPUs draw more power I need to upgrade again..

I think with that I would be on the save side. What you mean? Good PSU? It's the same price than the other 2 850W

It's a high quality PSU and you are on the safe side with it.
Power consumption actually lowered about the past few years.
780ti needs more watt under load than a 980ti which is clearly faster by a good bit.
